This is a job Andrew Hartley successfully delivered to Melbourne Water a little while ago, the task was to operate a number of very old and very large gate valves via our portable actuator system.

Strict adherence to preserving the integrity of some very old assets was of the utmost importance and to achieve this a significant amount of effort was focused on torque protection.

Andrew’s design included some very special bracketry, the inclusion of gearboxes where required and permanently mounted over-torque protectors, the site then utilized our petrol-powered actuator across all valves.

Congratulations on a great result, and as can be seen Andrew is also very proud of his accomplishments.
