Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability Improvement Grants announced

Project Manager - Knox Council

The Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, the Hon Karen Andrews MP, has announced the opening of the Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability Improvement Grants.

$25.7 million is available over five years. The program will award grants of between $250,000 and $1 million. This is the first element of the Australian Government’s $150 million Moon to Mars initiative.

The aim of the program is to lift the participation of Australian companies in local and international space supply chains that could support NASA’s inspirational plan to return to the Moon and travel on to Mars. It will also encourage the application of space capabilities across other high growth industries such as mining, cyber security and agriculture. Above all, the program targets businesses that have a clear commercialisation pathway and a buyer who is genuinely interested in the product and/or service.

Eligible applicants can apply at any time up to 30 June 2023. Applications will be assessed by a committee at least three times per year.
