This week, we proudly celebrate a major milestone for one of Bayswater Business Precinct’s standout manufacturers: Crusader Hose, marking 40 years of innovation, growth, and Australian-made excellence.
Founded in 1985 with just four employees, Crusader Hose has grown into a powerhouse of 60 dedicated team members, leading the way in layflat hose and reel system manufacturing. What began as a fire hose company has evolved into a trusted provider of solutions for:
- Mine dewatering
- Bore water pumping
- Irrigation
- Fuel transfer
- Industrial applications
Crusader Hose is now recognised among the top five layflat hose manufacturers globally, a remarkable achievement for a family-owned Australian business. Their products support critical industries including agriculture, mining, firefighting, and defence, with exports reaching over 20 countries worldwide.
Crusader Hose’s impact extends beyond manufacturing. As a key contributor to the Bayswater Business Precinct, the company exemplifies engineering excellence, local employment, and sustainable growth. With many staff members serving for over a decade, their culture of loyalty and community is a testament to their values.
From pioneering the Olympic Reeler System to designing custom fuel transfer solutions for the South Korean Navy and supporting rapid refuelling for the Australian Defence Force, Crusader Hose continues to lead with innovation and integrity.
A meaningful moment during the celebration saw Crusader Hose CEO Francois Steverlynck and Knox Council CEO Bruce Dobson cut the anniversary cake together, honouring four decades of resilience and excellence.
