Process Optimisation in Manufacturing Using Simulation

Date
17 February 2022, Thursday
Time
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Cost

Free

In this webinar, our presenters from the Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Hub (who have a combined 50 years of manufacturing experience) will introduce you to a free open source DES software called Jaamsim. They will provide you with an overview of Jammsim’s simulation capabilities and show you how it can be used for process optimisation and line balancing (beyond using Excel spreadsheets) using a case study, and other publicly sourced examples. You will see that you don’t need any 3D modelling or coding skills to get started; just a curiosity to learn, a few basic skills and a process focus.

This training is being delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.

Who should attend.

Recommended for small to medium sized Victorian businesses in manufacturing and process related industries (e.g. Food & Beverage, Meat processing, Dairy, Agri-business, Defence, Pharmaceuticals etc) – for senior leaders, managers and process/production engineers in innovation and operations.

You will be provided with additional information and a link to access the online webinar via eventbrite email 24 hours prior to the event. Ensure contact details are entered correctly during registration. Please check your spam/junk folder in case the emails are diverted there.
