Biography
When I launched Essential Catering & Events, my vision was to deliver a flexible catering & event management solution, with an emphasis on sustainability and the meaningful connections created by linking people to the experience of enjoying great food made from genuinely fresh ingredients. Hospitality is part of my heritage.
I’m grateful to my family for teaching me the basics when I worked in their food retail space at Lake Mountain Ski Resort as a younger man - and later at another Yarra Valley food service venue.
That training showed me why attention to detail, combined with a friendly ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for producing delicious flavours, are the key ingredients to food service success.
My hospitality experience includes 5-star hotels, private golf clubs, restaurants, retail outlets and catering, as well as a proud stint as the General Manager of SkyHigh Mount Dandenong - one of Victoria’s iconic tourist destinations.
But great hospitality businesses are not just about the food.
Education is a powerful thing and with a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources & Management, as well as an E Commerce minor at Swinburne University of Technology, ensures I have the tools and knowledge to develop a positive, productive workplace with fantastic company culture - and a commitment to customer-centric outcomes.
I know what it’s like to have a young family and I believe flexible work solutions matter. By offering ongoing training and active encouragement of career growth for each and every team member, I’m committed to making Essential Catering & Events a fantastic brand to work with - both inside and out.
