Knox City Council (Council) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified Consultants for the provision of Consultant Services, including all necessary sub-consultants. Works involve the provision of Design Development and Detailed Design for the new Knox Library at Westfield Knox Shopping Centre, located at 425 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South. The Consultant is expected to develop the approved concept plan, and once approved provide detailed documentation suitable for:

• Tendering of construction/fitout works
• Obtaining all relevant permits for commencement of construction

The documentation will include all architectural drawings, specifications and sub-consultant (services) drawings as required, and a detailed cost plan for the construction works. The consultant will also appoint a Building Surveyor on behalf of Council, and co-ordinate the provision of all necessary documentation for the issuance of relevant building permits.

The costs associated with issuance of permits should be included in tender submission.

The Design Works are expected to commence in April 2022, and to be completed by end of July 2022. The appointed consultant will also provide on-going design consulting services for the duration of the construction/fitout stage of the project.

Construction works are expected to commence in October 2022.
