The 2022 theme for this years Women on the Go is “The Power of Purpose”, focusing on the value social change can add to your business model. This year we really want to bring value to our local businesses. Giving more opportunities to meaningfully connect and learn from each other. That is why there will a major focus on networking, giving tangible advice and speaking with organisations that help facilitate positive impact.

For your $40 investment the program includes:

Speaker Natalie Kyriacou 

An award-winning social entrepreneur, CEO, Board Advisor, public speaker, writer,
and Environmental and Social Impact leader. Highly regarded for her authentic leadership in the environmental and social impact spaces, her passion and expertise lie in exploring the intersection of environmental and social equity issues and how these issues are navigated across commercial, political, community and grassroots landscapes. Natalie will speak on the powerful forces that are reshaping the modern landscape of business that places environmental protection and social equity at the centre.

This year we have an exciting new way of networking. Networking scavenger hunt.

How does it work?

Each attendee will get a list of networking related tasks and the first 10 people to finish 15 of the tasks each win a prize.

Lunch with Experts from Bendigo Bank – This prize pack is valued at over $650 and includes a catered lunch at one of Ferntree Gully’s favourite restaurants, where the winner would be joined by a marketing expert, accounting expert and banking expert for two hours to work on your business needs.

There will be experts wandering around talking to attendees about ethical practices that can be implemented in their business model. Learn more about the organisations sharing their knowledge with you.

Fitted for Work – Fitted for Work help women in Australia experiencing disadvantages get work, keep work and navigate through working life with success. They are a not-for-profit based right here in Australia helping women through a range of services on a national scale.

Kinaway – Kinaway’s purpose is to provide business support and advice, help improve visibility and networks, build procurement opportunities and facilitate support to Aboriginal businesses.

Ferntree Gully Bendigo Bank – A community bank that gives up to 80% of profits back to the community. They aim to develop long-term prosperity by supporting programs that help empower local individuals and groups within the local community. Chat with the local experts on all things finance, super and banking.

Tasty AZ – Tasty Az is a community based, not for profit, catering & hospitality social enterprise delivering education, training, cooking & life skills, work placement & pathways to employment for young people living with disability.

Ellen Clarke – Ellen is a passionate sustainability consultant that can provide you with actionable steps to become more sustainable. She shares her story and knowledge to offer help and hope to others. Supporting busy women to make small sustainable changes in their everyday lives, which added up, can have a huge impact on themselves, their families and the planet.
