Do you know someone curious about a career in skilled trades but they don’t know much about it, don’t know where to start or what trade to choose ?

Some women worry they will not be welcome in the industry; others don’t know much about apprenticeships or what to do.

Many trades may require you to use tools you may not be familiar with, which can feel overwhelming and may put you off progressing.

In collaboration with Box Hill Institute and Maxme, Empowered Women In Trades have developed the Tool Skills Day, which is designed to help you gain confidence
and hands-on practical experience “on the tools”.

We complement this learning with positive psychology workshops because a successful career in trades requires more than just well-developed
trade skills. We provide you with the mental tools you need to overcome your self-doubt and find the courage to pursue a career in trades.
