Celebrating International Women’s Day | Wednesday 10 March
About this Event
Why not grab a coffee and bite to eat and join us online over breakfast for an extraordinary story of hard work, resilience – and success! Listeners will find Mona’s reflections engaging and thought provoking as she generously shares her experiences and personal growth from migrant child to Navy Captain and beyond.
Recounting stories from childhood, employment in a different arena, the balancing of career and family – and the benefits and challenges of diversity and inclusion in the workplace – Mona speaks with genuine authenticity and vulnerability.
Captain Mona Shindy CSC has over 30 years’ military and business experience and is planning to retire soon! She holds three degrees and has been a trailblazer in male dominated environments.
With her systems thinking and strong emotional intelligence, Mona has been a highly successful project director, change agent and organisational leader.
Captain Mona Shindy was recognised as the National Telstra Business Woman of the Year 2015 and awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) in the Australia Day honours list for outstanding service as a strategic intercultural advisor.
